John M Cox Has considerable marine related experience as a Master at sea and a senior executive in cruise operations for a large corportation. Has achieved a high level of experitise in marine transportation, vessel, port and terminal management and operations, cruise line marketing, organization and administration. Currently CEO of Black Ball Ferry Line, Inc. Founder of The Maritime Group.

Malcolm W.Parrott Master Mariner FRIN FCILT FNI

Managing Director

Has considerable marine related experience, specializing in the High Speed Craft and RoRo sectors. His seagoing career spanned 24 years, of which 10 were as a Master of container and cruise ships. This was followed by over 20 years ashore in senior executive and management roles, where he has worked, and is still working, within Ferry and High Speed Craft Operations, Container Operations, Cruise operations, Ship Management, General & Commercial Management and Ship Broking. Past member of the London Baltic Exchange. Past Master (2009-2010) of the London livery company, the Honourable Company of Master Mariners.

Technical Director

A Marine Engineer with considerable experience of seagoing on various types of vessel including tankers, dry cargo and RO-RO logistic ships. Career developed with a period ashore in fleet technical management the last period of five years as the Senior Technical Superintendent responsible for technical and logistic management of a fleet of twenty-two ships. He moved over to Consultancy  working both independently and employed, latterly as engineering design support consultant for major defence related company.

Spent the whole of his working life in shipping, having joined Mathews Wrightson Burbidge directly from school and thereafter held positions within several major London broking houses including directorships at T W Tamplin and Wake Marine. Past member of the London Baltic Exchange.

Paul Boyce, Master Mariner

ISM/ISPS Consultant

Spent many years at sea on various types of vessel, rising to the rank of Staff Captain on cruise ships and Master of mega yachts before coming ashore, thereafter he went into consultancy specializing in ISM/ISPS. He has developed more than 50 of his own plans for ISPS, which have been approved by societies including: MCA , DNV, Cayman, DGMM, Bahamas, Panama, Isle of Man, NKK, St Vincent & Grenadines and Liberia.

Ship and cargo surveyor, ISM/ISPS Consultant

Over 30 years at sea the last 14 in command including tankers, dry cargo and specialist types with DP and naval experience.  Fourteen years as a Flag State surveyor, auditor, inspector, accident investigator and examiner of Master’s and Mates including Boat Master’s and Fishing Vessels.  With particular experience in the survey of large passenger vessels on behalf of flag.  A lead auditor for ISM and ISPS.

Director in Beckett Rankine, Marine Consulting Engineers. Qualified Port Civil Engineer has considerable experience in the design of ports and marine facilities. He has been responsible for projects at ports in the UK and overseas, specifically in France, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, North Korea, China, Oman and Kazakhstan These projects have included the development of container terminals, dry and liquid bulk terminals, Ro-Ro ferry terminals as well as waterside urban regeneration.

He has held senior executive and managerial posts at Sea Containers Ltd, the Virgin Group, P&O Ferries and British Airways. Currently serves as Chairman of Milford Haven Port Authority.

Following a full career at sea in product tankers and dry cargo, specializes in worldwide offshore marine warranty within the gas and oil industry including all types of pipe lay and rig moves.   Has conducted numerous warranty inspections and suitability surveys associated with rig moves and witnessed heavy lift project cargo operations.   Accredited inspector for IMCA and OCIMF OVID and lead auditor for ISM/ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISPS (DNv).
