The Company

The Maritime Group International is the holding group for an international consortium of marine consultancies and marine management companies. The Maritime Group (Europe) is part of this international grouping.

The Maritime Group, Inc was founded in 1990 in the USA by Captain John M Cox, for the research and development of new cruise shipping, ferry and port projects, specifically in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean.

Subsequently, The Maritime Group, Inc., with a view to widening the scope of expertise that can be offered to the maritime world beyond North America, and in association with other maritime consultancies, formed an International consortium of like-minded consultants and professionals throughout the world, culminating in 2009 with the formation of The Maritime Group International.

This consortium of independently established maritime consultancies is based in Seattle, London, Honolulu and Brisbane. In 2010 the group was further enhanced by the addition of another independent consultancy based in Singapore. The Maritime Group International is now in a unique position to be able to provide a wide range of support and assistance to clients quickly and in most parts of the globe.

The international group consists of maritime professionals, directors and senior managers, unlimited ship masters, marine mechanical and electrical engineers, port civil engineers and designers, naval architects, architects and ship brokers, all of whom are well versed in a variety of maritime areas, with years of experience at sea and ashore. Our consultants and partners are well known and respected globally.
